Review of "Crooked Paths Straight’ - .I have followed author Wehman's research and writing of the Newburg Chronicles with great interest. She combines factual, verifiable history with educated speculation, to formulate these great history-based novels. Her writing depicts life as I am sure it was for these early settlers in the central Michigan Territory of the 1830s. I look forward to her third installment in which she introduces some of my actual ancestors who settled the area in those early years. ~Clark Harder
